Obituary of Allene Carol Baker

Allene Carol Baker, 81, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at her residence. Born in San Diego, CA, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Jennie Gould.

Allene retired from working with disabilities and special needs in 2005 in Georgetown, SC. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James E. Baker.

Survivors include a son, James E. Baker, Jr. of West Virginia; a daughter, Joanne Leary of Lexington; grandchildren, Tonia Ross, James William Leary, Jr., Thomas Baker, Jennifer Leary and Jerrett Leary; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Cody, Kyle Parks, Aiden Baker, Andrew Leary, Jethro Leary and Jimmy Leary.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave. Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
