Obituary of Alice Goff Culley

Alice Goff Culley of Hopkins went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 29th at the age of 102. She was an amazing and beautiful woman who spent her life serving others.

Alice was married for 64 years to Benjamin Franklin Culley (Frank). She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many and was always there to share her love and advice. Alice helped with the family construction business and served in her church, Mt. Elon Baptist, all her life in so many different ways. She served as teacher in Sunday School and Bible School. She was also a member of the Family and Community Leaders (FCL) group. She served as Church Hostess, which was her God given talent. Her main ministry was feeding others. She was an excellent cook and always made sure everyone was well fed.

Alice’s long life gave her much wisdom to share. She lived through the most technically progressive century in history, watching the world go from primitive living to putting men in space and smart phones.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Culley (Cathy); grandchildren, Lisa Price, Draft Price (Lori), Dargan Gregory (Ronnie) and Rhett Culley (Teresa); 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great, great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Culley and daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and George Price.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 4th at Mt. Elon Baptist Church in Hopkins, SC. Visitation begins at 10:00 am and the service will be at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Mt. Elon Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Alice’s life was a testimony of her love for her family and friends, her faith in Jesus and a life well lived. She will be missed but memories of her will be cherished.
