Obituary of Eldon Corley Boatwright

CHAPIN – Eldon Corley Boatwright, 91, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Eldon was born in Lexington County to the late Tyler Brenton and Anna Martha “Annie” Keisler Boatwright. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Ed Boatwright, Veda Harris, Lyndell Boatwright and Mary Fulmer. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 25 years, Feliciana Boatwright; his children, Michael Boatwright, Anthony Boatwright, Terry Boatwright, Melinda Bedenbaugh, Tamra Thompson and Crystal Boatwright; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Jewell McNelley, Melba Carpenter and Phyllis Mulligan.

Eldon was an employee of Sears for 59 years. One of his passions was spending hours every day working in his garden and also having a wide range of different plants and flowers.

A graveside funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 1 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
