Obituary of Jackie H. Stamos

Jackie H. Stamos, 72, of Hopkins, South Carolina, passed away October 6, 2023, at Agape Care Hospice Lexington, South Carolina. She was born on November 9, 1950, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late William and Julia (Drawdy) Henderson.  She graduated from Lower Richland High School 1968 and married the love of her life Angelo P. Stamos the following year.  Jackie continued her education while raising her children, she was able to earn her degree in business from Midlands Technical College.  A dedicated wife, mother and caregiver, Jackie was the ultimate giver.  If it was her time, her knowledge or compassion, she opened her heart and her home to all that needed her.  She was very focused on creating a home of peace and loving.  Jackie worked for the State of South Carolina for thirteen years in the department of Social Services before an injury forced her retirement.  After her retirement, Jackie spent most of her time perfecting her Greek/Southern fusion cooking style.  Jackie had always kept family in the forefront.  She raised her nephews James and Josh, instilling the spirit of family and love.

Jackie is survived by her sons, Peter Angelo Stamos, Billy Angelo Stamos (Jennifer) and James Angelo Stamos, all of Columbia, SC.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Angelo P. Stamos; a sister, Christine Wilson; a brother, W. Lynn Henderson.

The family will receive friends at Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral, 1931 Sumter Street, Columbia, SC 29201 on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM.  Funeral services will follow the visitation with Reverend Father Michael Platanis officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
