Obituary of Wanda Faye Bryant

Wanda Faye Bryant, 58, was born in Columbia South Carolina on August 1st, 1964, and passed away in her sleep Sunday, May 21st, 2023. She was the daughter of Delbert Meadows and Essie Mae Patterson. In her earlier years she worked as a security guard, the Veteran's Hospital, and 9 years for BP Station in St. Matthew as a line cook before being diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The last few months she lived with her mother Essie Mae Patterson who was not just her mom but her caregiver as well as her sister Katherine McVey. 

Wanda was mom to so many people and always opened her doors to anyone that needed a place to stay. She loved listening to music, going to the beach, cruising, and staying with her sister and brother-in-law. But her most important thing in life was her love for her children and grandchildren, they were her heart! We are going to miss Wanda, but she is in our thoughts and always in our hearts! We love you, Wanda!  

She is survived by her mother Essie Mae Patterson (Russell Osbourne), daughters Melissa Lynn Ipock (Thomas Christopher Ipock), Tiffany Michelle Tanner; stepsons Jason Bunch (Tonya Bunch), Jamie Ledbetter; sister Katherine McVey (Daniel McVey Sr.); brothers Kenneth Meadows (Jennifer Meadows), Larry Medlin Jr., Steven Medlin(Amanda Preston Medlin); grandsons Jason Bunch, Justin Davis, Bryson Davis, Jayden Davis, Trenton Davis, Cameronn Taylor, Mason Ipock; granddaughters Alexis Bunch, Bella Ipock, Persiphone’ ,along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband David Bryant, dad Delbert Meadows and stepdad Joseph Anthony Patterson, grandparents Susie Bell Medlin and Bryce Medlin, son Bryant Tanner and grandson Gabriel Ledbetter. Wanda was loved by all her family and friends and always full of life.  

Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family and Reverend Henry Cooper will be doing the service. Service for Wanda Bryant will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3rd,2023 at the gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, South Carolina. 29072.
