Obituary of Ralphina Bright

November 23, 1934 - March 2, 2023

In loving memory of our mother, Ralphina Bright, who passed away on March 2, 2023. As a young girl Ralphina grew up in Lancashire England where she attended and graduated from Our  Lady of the Hills Catholic School in Leigh.  She was the loving mother of Donna Marie, Jerry, Jr., Anthony, Viriginia, Sonya, and twins, Gerald and Darold. Her love also extended out to her 22 grandchildren and 18 great grand children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Our mother was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed attending services at St. Peter's in Columbia, SC, with her good friend, Marie.  In her quiet times she loved working in the yard, planting flowers, and spending time with her granddaughter, Isabella, who brought her a sense of purpose in life.  Ralphina was a kind, caring, and giving person to everyone who graced her path. She always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.  Ralphina was a diligent worker, and worked several jobs to make ends meet.  In her spare time she was always there for us whenever we needed her. She was a woman of strong faith and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.

Family will greet friends on Thursday, March 9th, from 5-7p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC.  Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 10th, at 2p.m. in the Mausoleum of Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Rd. West Columbia, SC. 

Mother, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
