Obituary of Patricia McDaniel
Patricia Ann McDaniel (Nana), 89, of Chapin, SC, went home to be with our Lord on February 16, 2023. She was born September 7, 1933 to the late Vera and Earl Bryant in Green Sea, SC. She received her nursing degree from the University of South Carolina. Soon after graduation she met and married her husband, Ted. They shared a love for hard work and entrepreneurship. She continued to pour her energy into growing their legacy until the day she died.
If you had the privilege of knowing this beautiful soul, you were lucky. She was a mother to many, the oldest sister of 11, a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother, a giver, a nurse and a wonderful friend. She lived a life full of love, fun and many adventures. She gave and loved with her whole being. She was a true servant.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by U.T. McDaniel, her first husband; Phil Cockrell, her second husband; brothers, Jimmy Bryant, Sonny Bryant and Rudy Bryant.
She leaves behind a loving and devoted family, to include a daughter, Pam Briggs (Rhett); four grandchildren, Lindsay Furse (Mark), Amanda Welch (Ryan), Brooke Peagler (Ed) and Thomas Briggs (Brenna); five great grandchildren, Lyla, Allison, Lauriston, Anna Briggs, and Amelia; and siblings, Leota Ward, Jewel Bonds, Dottie Ford, Libby Davis, Sharon Perry, Glen Bryant and Carlton Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation and funeral will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC, on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of her granddaughter, Lindsay Furse. https://givenow.lls.org/give
