Obituary of Shirley Ann Floyd

Shirley Ann Floyd, 63, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away December 11, 2022, at her home in Lexington. She was born on December 8, 1959 in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Tommie Floyd and Gerta (Wunsch) Floyd.

In addition to her mother, Shirley is survived by her two daughters Jessica Prince, and Tiffany (Prince) Motley. As well as her granddaughters Savannah Prince, and Sarah Prince. 

Shirley was the second youngest sibling of five children. Her greatest joy in life was found within her family and her faith. As well as her church family and the long-time friends she found within the congregation. Always the brightest smile in the room, her laughter and contagious joyfulness will be remembered by the many people who had the blessing of loving her. Ever a woman of strong and unwavering faith; heaven has received the most glorious angel. Although taken from us sooner than ever expected, her relentless strength and beautiful soul will never leave our hearts. 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 16 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington with the Rev. Don Bell officiating. The family will receive friends at a catered reception one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
