Obituary of Marion W. Boone

Marion W. Boone, 85, of Gaston, passed away December 5, 2022, at Lexington Medical Center. He was born on May 14, 1937, in Lexington County to the late Woodrow Wilson Boone and Hazel Pound Boone.

"Boone" is survived by his loving wife Louise; a son, Billy Boone (Ginette); a grandson, Billy Boone, Jr. (Brittany); a granddaughter, Gabrielle Wilson; great-grandchildren Kase Boone, Annabelle and Isabelle Wilson, and Wyatt and Harper Boone;  sisters Judy Rabon, Penny Finan; and a brother, Tim Boone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary L. Boone; a brother, Archie Boone; and sisters, Willis Bachman, and Alice Busbee.

A memorial service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Matt Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel immediately following the service.
