Obituary of Charles L. Keisler

Charles L. Keisler, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  He was born in Lexington County on February 27, 1929, to the late Lorenzo and Geneva Smith Keisler.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Connie Keisler Peake.

Mr. Keisler is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruby Black Keisler; daughters, Kay Keisler, Charlene Starnes (Barry), Rita Boykin (Gary); grandsons, Christopher Starnes, Jonathan Starnes, Cody Peake, Michael Brazell; granddaughter, Brandi Askew (Mitch); great-grandson, Lincoln Askew; sisters, Doris Roof, Janice Counts (Bobby), Gloria Clingan (Jack).

 

Mr. Keisler was a member of Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He was a US Army Veteran (CPL) serving in the Korean War.  He loved fishing and tinkering with any type of small engine equipment, especially lawnmowers, upon retirement.  He will be deeply missed by his family.

 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington, SC.  Visitation will be immediately following the service.

 

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans of South Carolina, 511 Violet St., West Columbia, SC  29169 or to the charity of one’s choice.
