I had the pleasure of working with Scott for a while in Newberry. Great guy that Loved everyone and would do anything he could to help people out, including taking another Ambulance call just to try and help them out. ( frustrated me sometimes when I was really tired) but it was the right thing to do. We talked a lot because when working EMS everyone is family. He went through a lot losing his wife Cindy but he handled it a lot better than most, at least he did in front of everyone.
I remember one particular call we ran at Regency Woods apartment, wasn’t much to the call and we did not transport. The older lady that lived alone didn’t have a Christmas tree put up and I remember him asking where her tree was and she said she didn’t have one. After we cleared up Scott said hey man let’s go buy this woman a Christmas tree. We went straight to the store bought prob a 5 foot tree and all decorations and went back to EMS and decorated it. After decorating it we put it in that back of the truck and took it back to the lady, She was so excited and had tears in her eyes, that was Scott everyday. He always was looking to bless someone. Great guy the world needs more people like him. This is a tragedy for everyone who knew Scott. Our prayers are with his Family and All that knew and Loved him! Rest In Peace buddy you left this world a better place and we will try and carry on doing good for others just like you taught us . We will see you again soon mark some good spots for us to fish up there in that Great Lake!

While we only knew Scott as our neighbor, we would often stop and talk to him if he was out in his yard. Always kind and friendly. We will keep his family in our prayers. May the good Lord give you His peace and comfort at this sad time. Roy and Diane Mills 110 Rose Garden Point Prosperity

You were like another son to Russell and I, always smiling with hugs each time we saw you. Our many trips to the SC Fair always started with a stop at the First Aid Center to see you. You were so loved in our lives and will never be forgotten.
