Obituary of Lourintha K. Jeffcoat

MARIETTA—On May 27, 2022, Lourintha King Jeffcoat, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away at the home of her granddaughter Jennifer Newcomb. Lourintha was born May 12, 1932, in Gaston, SC, to the late Cleveland & Emma (Sharpe) King.

She is survived by sons Ronny, Larry (Skacy), and Randal Jeffcoat; grandchildren Amanda (Jim) Fogle, Jennifer (Ray) Newcomb, and Daniel Jeffcoat; great-grandchildren Alex Newcomb, Makayla and Natalie Fogle, Jackson and Claire Jeffcoat; and great-great-grandchild Adaline Newcomb.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tye Jeffcoat; a daughter, Linda Dianne Jeffcoat; sisters Violet King, Verdelle McClellion, and Inez Jeffcoat; brothers Cleveland King, Jr., Leonard T. King, and Howard King; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Jeffcoat.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, 1959 Woodtrail Dr., Gaston, SC 29053, with the Rev. Derrel Robinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lima Baptist Church, 10 Lima Baptist Church Road, Travelers Rest, SC, 29690.
