Obituary of Tommie Bessinger Adams

The daughter of William F. and Ida Mae Gunnels Bessinger, Tommie Bessinger Adams, died on April 23, 2022.

Mrs. Adams was a volunteer at the Baptist Hospital and was a member of the Ladies Golf Association, Fort Jackson Course, where she had 12 holes in one, plus one at Sunset Country Club, Sumter, SC, making a total of 13.

She was a member of Kilbourne Park Baptist Church, where she served on the Home Bound and Bereavement Committees.

She is survived by her niece, Camille Fallaw (Clark) of Columbia, nephew, David Dale of Columbia, and great nephew, Cory Dale of Columbia.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar Q. Adams, and sister Mary B. Dale.

Memorials can be made to Kilbourne Park Baptist Church 4205 Kilbourne Rd, Columbia, SC 29205.

A service will be held on Thursday, April 28^th at 1pm with burial to follow at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place one-hour prior to service.
