Obituary of Edwin R. Langston

Mr. Edwin (Eddie) R. Langston, 60, of Columbia, SC entered into rest peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born in France, to the late Isadore (Dean) Langston and Sara Langston. Eddie was proud of his family-owned business that was established in 1990. He worked alongside his parents, wife, and son. He found great pride working with his family and local community. He was an avid classic car collector. He loved joy riding with his wife, Brigitta; no destination, just passing time with conversation. His greatest joy was found through his kids and grandkids.

In addition to his father, Isadore (Dean) Langston, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Michael D. Langston. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 42 years, Brigitta; his mother, Sara Langston; his children, Steven Langston (Rebecca), Brooke Langston (Joseph), and April Langston-Thompson (Kyle); grandchildren, Taylor, Peyton, Camden, Anniston, Reid; his brother, Mike Langston (Patti); nephew, Zack Langston; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Honoring Eddie as pallbearers will be son-in-law, Kyle Thompson; nephew, Zack Langston; Joseph Sturkie, Dave Sturkie, and Tim Thornton. The Langston family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 1pm at Thompson’s Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the MoyaMoya foundation or the Kidney Foundation in honor of Eddie Langston.
