Alvin Gennar Kiser was known to family and friends as Gennar, Jr., Bug Man, A.G., and most importantly, Dad and Grandaddy.

He was a self made entrepreneur and hard working man. He proudly built his AG Exterminating Company and lived by a penny saved was a penny earned.  After changing career paths his love of tractors and moving dirt kept him busy until he moved his retirement days to fishing at the lake, daily trips to the pond, and helping any family or friend that was in need.

He was the son of the late Fred Kiser & Beatrice Hicks Kiser of Walhalla, SC.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia Kiser.  He is survived by his only son, Alvin G. Kiser Jr. (Lisa); very special granddaughters, Reagan Kiser Price (Will) and Graeson Virginia Kiser; a brother, Charles “Chuck” Kiser; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William Ray Kiser; and two sisters, Elizabeth Kiser Fulmer and Bula Mae Keaton.

The family would like to thank Pam and Francis for the precious loving care they gave our Dad during his illness.  We would also like to thank Agape Hospice for their support and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church.

Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
