Obituary of Annie Stone

Mrs. Annie Lee Stone passed away December 5, 2021. Annie was born to Ira and Catherine Sox on November 6, 1930 in Columbia, SC.

Annie Stone lived a life for her family. She famously only knew her husband, Ralph Stone, for 10 days before they were wed and fostered that into a 64-year marriage. She was faithful to him and dedicated much of her time to helping him with his various businesses. She was the baby of her family for 10 years until she was joined by two younger siblings. Annie was very close to her mother and loved her dearly. Annie was a fabulous cook and loved to read Danielle Steel books. She will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family.

Annie is proceeded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Ralf Stone; her daughters, Donna Anne Stone and Samantha Stone; her sisters, Jenny Cross and Mickie Wilson; and her brothers, Howel Sox and Clayton Sox.

Annie is survived by her children, Shirley Wooley, Mary King, and Allen Stone; her sister, Jeanette Szamraj; her seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Lybrand Cemetery, Delree Street, West Columbia.
