Obituary of Zachary Forth Godfrey

Zachary Forth Godfrey passed away on September 8, 2021. He was a graduate of Swansea High School and was employed by Hood Construction Company for many years. He loved his Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. Zachary was a loving son, father, and friend to anyone he knew. Once you knew Zachary, he was your friend for life.

Zachary is survived by his daughters, Kensley Lane Godfrey and Adailyn Reece Godfrey; the loves of his life, Kayla Price and daughter, Alexus Wessinger; his parents, John A. and Pamela C. Godfrey of Gaston; his brothers, Johnathan D. Godfrey, Austin Godfrey (Brittney), William Godfrey; his nephew, PVT Malin A. Russel; his nieces, Courtney, Kaydance, Addison, Tenley, and Ali Godfrey.

His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”

Due to unforseen circumstances, the service for Zachary Godfrey will now be a Graveside Service at 11:00am Saturday, September 18, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Gaston, 121 Oakley Springs Drive, Gaston, SC 29053. There will be no visitation beforehand.
