Obituary of James D. Miles, Jr.

Mr. James D. Miles Jr. passed away May 5, 2021. He was born to James and Margie Miles on September 7, 1941 in Columbia, SC.

James is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 59 years, Shirley Miles. James is survived by his brother, Roddy (Tanya) Miles; his children, Trey (Diane) Miles, and Shannon Hardwick (Blake Covey); his grandchildren, Zach Hardwick, Dylan Miles, Kaitlyn (Johnathan) Myers, and Cody Hardwick; and one great grandson, Kohlden Hardwick.

James Miles was a member of Masonic Lodge Pacific 325 A.F.M, Sons of Confederate Veterans South Carolina Chapter, and served his nation in the South Carolina National Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Cancer Research Center.

A Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5:30-7:30pm. A service will be held at Beulah United Methodist Church in Sandy Run, SC Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2pm with burial to follow.
