Obituary of Almeta Knight Dunlap

 Almeta Knight Dunlap, of West Columbia,  passed away on April 30, 2021 after a short illness. She was born on April 22, 1928 in Columbia to the late Joseph Benjamin and Ardella McPherson Knight

Almeta is survived by her three sons, Larry Dunlap (Linda) of Lexington, S.C., David Dunlap (Sharon) of West Columbia, S.C. and Russ Dunlap (Janice) of College Park, Maryland, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was proceeded by her parents, William “Bill” Dunlap and her grandson, Michael Dunlap.

Almeta was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was retired from Southern Heating where she worked for over 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with services at 12:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, S.C with burial to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens 700 W. Dunbar Road West Columbia, S.C.
