Obituary of Rose Ann McKee Elkins

Rose Ann McKee Elkins, 81, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Born on May 17, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Sterling R. Wendell and Earmel Johnson Wendell.

Rose spent more than 40 years working and running McKee's Construction with her husband, Bill. She was involved in almost every aspect of the business. She later remarried to Ned Elkins, retired, and spent her last years as a home maker. In the past few years, she attended New Life Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill McKee, Sr. as well as her second husband, Ned Elkins.

Left to cherish her memory are her four stepchildren, Rita (Aaron) Duncan, Elaine (Jim) Reagan, Bill (Beverly) McKee, Jr., and Marcia McKee; as well as many step grandchildren, including Kevin Moreland.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, all funeral services will be private.
