Obituary of Patricia S. Coker

Patricia S. Coker, 90, of West Columbia, SC, passed away January 16, 2021.  She was born on February 2, 1930 in Newberry to the late George and Margaret Spotts.

Pat was pre-deceased by one month of her husband of 73 years, George M. Coker.  She is survived by sons Mel (Barbara) of Chapin and Randy (Robin V.) of West Columbia.  Also surviving are grandchildren: Adam Coker, Brandi Rodriguez and Kelly Hernandez and great-grandchildren:  Alyssia and Hailey.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ruth, four brothers and two sisters.  Two brothers, Johnny and Bobby survive her.

Pat was a homemaker and at other times worked with a textile company and Richland School District One.  She was a long time member at Crescent Hill Baptist Church and a current member at Springdale Baptist Church.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington with the service conducted by Rev. Tommy McGill.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be made to Springdale Baptist Church, West Columbia.
