Obituary of Rosilyn Fairey Brown

Rosilyn Fairey Brown, 48, of Lexington passed away December 22, 2020. She was born on January 28 1972 in Roanoke, VA to Lydia B Toney and Lyle Wilson Fairey, Jr.

Rosilyn (Roz) spent most of her life in Spartanburg, SC where she served the community as a cosmetologist and licensed practical nurse.  She obtained her degree while working and raising a family, and began her career caring for residents in local nursing facilities. After moving to Columbia, she continued her profession in geriatric care until suffering an illness in 2012. Roz had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a soft spot when it came to caring for animals, and especially loved spending time fishing at the family pond in Orangeburg or at Lake Murray. 

In addition to her parents, Lydia B. Toney and Lyle Wilson Fairey Jr. (Wrenn), she is survived by her sister, Dawn Fairey (Christie); two brothers, Chad Toney (Kelly) and Matthew Toney; two sons, Tyler Brown and Seth Brown (Kaitlyn); grandmother, June Brown; five grandchildren and two step siblings.

A Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC.
