I was sad to hear of Garbo passing, he was a good friend and co worker at STP. I will always remember his smile. My prayers are with you Vada and your family. Stay strong in the Lord and His peace.

Joe and I are so thankful to have had the wonderful memories of laughter and times together over the years. That smile of Garbo’s lit up any room he walked into. He was a fine example of a husband and father. Vada, Marcus, we love you and are here for you
God Bless You. Joe and Kathy Kirkland

Garbo was a fine individual. It was a pleasure to work with him through the years. From his presence, you knew he was a Christian, a proud husband and father. God bless you Vada and family.

Ms. Vada, I am so sorry to hear of Garbo's passing. I just found out a few minutes ago and was sad to learn this news. You, Garbo, and Marcus I can remember as if yesterday. Garbo was a kind and gentle soul. I am thankful to have been able to work/dispatch with him when I first began in Law Enforcement way back in 1984. May you seek comfort in all of the fond memories you shared together. Please know my heart aches for you today. My sincerest condolences to you and the family. May God comfort you all in the coming days , weeks and months ahead. Many Hugs I send your way....

I worked with Garbo during his employment with State Transport Police. He always had a smile on his face. He shared many stories of things he and his wife had done. He was a great man and I will never forget him. I'm so sorry for the loss to his family but am thankful to know he is no longer suffering and has gone to be with our Heavenly Father.

I worked with Garbo for many years and his smile and laugh were infectious! I remember seeing the excitement in his eyes as he was telling me about a trip he had taken to Las Vegas. They went on a sunset helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon...after that conversation I knew it was something I wanted to experience as well...a memory I will never forget. He was a wonderful man and can now rest in the hands of our Heavenly Father! God bless you for being such a great person to us all. Prayers to all the family during this sad time.

I would offer my sympathy to "Garbo's" family, I met Garbo when he was assigned to Richland County and have always
felt he was a friend. There are plenty of memories but the memory of him is the best. May God bless you the strength
to endure this time of loss. My prayers will included the family.

I will always cherish the trip my sister Marilyn Husak and I made to South Carolina in 2011. Our first "girls" trip in quite a while and we decided to go to visit our Aunt Bonnie and her three sons...our cousins, Mike, Kenneth and Gary. We had played together a lot as children...us being two of my dad's kids visited quite a few times in Texas and then on our trips to Massachusetts. My dad would stop in S.C. for a week on the way and the 6 of us kids had some pretty good adventures there in Pendleton S.C. Visiting had become a little harder when we grew up and our lives got more involved, but we always remained in touch. We knew we would probably be seeing Aunt Bonnie for the last time when we were there...but never realized it would be the last time we would see our beloved cousin Gary. May he finally have peace and rest with the Angels, he deserves it so much.

He was such a good friend to so many, I am so blessed to have known him and to have worked with him. John 11:25 says “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live'" His battle on earth is won and now he is home. My prayers for the family.
