Obituary of Sylvia Ann Kyzer Mann
Sylvia Ann Kyzer Mann, 81, of Chapin, wife of Cecil Eugene Mann, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born September 11, 1938 in Swansea, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry O’Neil Kyzer and Verma H. Mack Fulmer. Ann was employed with The Seibels Bruce Company in the accounting department where she retired early to keep her two grandchildren. She had a number of hobbies but most enjoyed reading, word search, cooking and spending time with her sweetheart. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her life and she cherished every moment spent with them. She instilled the importance of family to all she met. She was a faithful member of West Side Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a supportive Deacon’s wife.
In addition to her loving husband of 62 years, she is survived by a daughter, Belinda Pearson (Brian) of Chapin; a daughter-in-law, Penny Mann; four grandchildren, Dustin Clark Lawrence of Charleston, Devin Tate Lawrence of Greenville, Brian Deshane (Susan) and Ryan Mann (Dixie). She also leaves behind a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Jerald Michael Mann, USMC.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home Lexington with the Rev. Scott Crede officiating. Burial will follow at 12 Noon in West Side Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 AM till 11 AM prior to the service.
