Obituary of Charles Glen Luke
Charles Glen Luke, 87, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020. Born in Greenville, Missouri on April 23, 1933, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Helen Wood Luke. He was a member of Willow Ridge Church in Lexington, SC. Luke was a retired US Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict as well as two tours in the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the freemasons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Gamecock football.
He is survived by his daughters, Corinne Wilson (Mike), Helen Luke Harrington, and Kathleen Luke Alley (Rubin); a son, William “Billy” Luke; grandchildren, Christopher Dorn (Megan), Michael Wilson (Mary-Catherine), Analee Bannister (Brent), Joseph “Joey” Scarano, and Taylor Harrington (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Crosby Dorn, Brooks Bannister, Beckham Brant, and Matthew Dorn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Dees.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11am.
