Obituary of Trey Comer III

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Daniel Kelly Comer III, 28, of Columbia, SC. He was born on August 18, 1991.         

“Trey” will be missed by his parents Kelly and Lynn Comer; his brothers, Colin, Alex, Ryan and Mark. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Carl and Azalea Olson, his paternal grandfather, Daniel Kelly Comer, his maternal grandparents Jim Machovina and Judy Kovacs, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends.

A Memorial service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 200 State Street, West Columbia SC 29169 at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Those that knew Trey know that he had a contagious laugh and could light up a room. He was the life of the party.  Those that loved him know that they have lost a shining light in their lives. Trey had a gift of wit and words and he always knew what to say to others in any situation.  He could fix almost anything and tried to teach his brothers the same. He was solid, he was always there to help his friends and family.

Trey was a loving son, grandson and friend.  He had an unbreakable bond with his four younger brothers.  The Comer brothers had each other’s back, no matter the situation.
