Obituary for Lloyd W. Blackwood

Lloyd W. Blackwood,  85 , of Batesburg, husband of the late Helen P. Blackwood  passed away Monday,  February 24, 2020.  He was born on May 29, 1934  in Barnwell, South Carolina to the late Harvey "Honey" Amick and Mary Cleo Cook Amick.  He was a member of First Baptist in Batesburg, South Carolina and the owner of All-Brite Sign Company.  He was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War.  

Lloyd  is survived by, one daughter, Rhonda B. Mayo (Ray); one granddaughter, Blythe Larned (Bobby); two grandsons, Ryan L. Mayo (Tara) and William Mayo (Emma); three great-grandsons, Landon Mayo, Taylor and Noah Larned; one great-granddaughter, Mia Mayo.  In addition to his parents and wife of 64 years he was preceded in death by one brother, Roland Blackwood and one sister, Minnie Bryant.

Funeral  services will be held Friday February 28, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
