Dear Lucille:
I was so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing but am happy he is no longer in such pain. Yours and Tom's love story is truly a special one. Hold your memories dear to you as a reminder of his love when the days get unbearable. He and my sister Betty are both looking down upon you with love and admiration for all you've done for them. I wish you God's peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Never good-bye Dad.
This is not your end, it’s just the beginning of a beautiful journey, your continuation.
The heavens will dance with the grandeur of you!
By the grace of God he gave us the time we had to spend. I will treasure those moments even though the insensitivity of the hospital surrounded us, all that mattered was you! That joyous moment you acknowledged my presence when you looked into my eyes. Your touch as you squeezed my hand, the warmth of your cheek, your Daughter’s last kiss. I know you felt peace as the special song you had once shared with me, played as I put my ear phones to your ears..
“that special place within my heart”.
You’re my Dad, irreplaceable you! There are no words to describe how deeply I love you and how immensely I will miss you on this earth, but love never ends, and the heart remembers when. And when I feel my heart start aching and longing for you, I will close my eyes and find comfort and smile knowing you are now free, and lovingly in the arms of your true love, Ellie.
Tom and Ellie eternal bliss!
Until we all unite again, give Mom a kiss for me, and keep on dancing Dad!
Loving you always-Your Little Girl “no matter what”
-It’s a beautiful day here, blue and bright with a blanket of white, a gorgeous day in honor of you as we celebrate you
Dad, Grandpa! Your family, with whom you will live on in us all, forever!
Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love with all my soul.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

I’m Stephanie, one of Mr. Tom”s caregivers. The best memory of Mr. Tom came about three weeks after working for him. After talking about politics, business and family meals that he enjoyed by his wife Lucille, which he described her technique as magic, he began telling me of something that he could not do...
Well, knowing Tom Serra’s abilities I stopped and looked at him with my hands on my hips... he then said, “For Real, I can't do it”... I then said...
”no “That’s Fake, it’s “Fake News!”...
Well Mr.Tom laughed so hard and loud it became Infectious, and before we knew it... me and Mrs. Lucille was laughing just as hard too... and that was the day we became friends.
I have worked with a lot of families and I can honestly say, Mr. Tom Serra was one of my favorites.
Love you Mrs. Lucille.

Dear Cousins Joe and Tom,
May the angels lead Tom into paradise;
may the martyrs receive him at his arrival
and lead him to the holy city Jerusalem.
May choirs of angels receive him
and with Lazarus, once a poor man, may he have eternal rest.”
Love, Cousin Bobby Rabert

I only met Tom twice but they were good visits with him.Once over to my home for dinner with Lu before they went back to Lexington. It was a fun relaxed evening. I saw that night how much Tom loved my dear friend Lu and she him, so i was very happy for them both. Tom is at peace now with no more pain. RIP Tom with your Heavenly Father. I wish for you Lu that you will feel God's arms around you and comfort you. Love & my friendship always, Ru

Tom was easily the most memorable real estate client I’ve ever worked with. When I helped him buy, he had purchased more homes in his lifetime than I had sold in my professional career. He taught me more about working with people, and perhaps about houses, than all the previous knowledge I’d built up by then. I’ll never forget our little joke, that my job in each prospective house was to test the disposal. Funny enough, all these years later, it’s a habit in every house I visit that has one. He also always stressed just how important it was to follow up, and if I didn’t do so in a manner consistent with his expectation, he surely would, and remind me. :) Tom was a tough negotiator and certainly not easy to please, but he was ALWAYS thankful for your time and complimentary of your hard work, and getting the job done. He began a client, and became a dear friend in short order, and eventually felt like family. I’ll miss him dearly, and will always cherish the memories I shared with him.
