Obituary of Jack Lewis Hensell

Wagener - Jack Lewis Hensell, 71, of Wagener, South Carolina husband of Bonnie Godwin Hensell passed away Tuesday January 28, 2020. Born on May 26, 1948 in Eglin AFB, Florida to the late Jack Lewis Hensell and Ora Belle Wilkes Hensell.  He retired from Lexington County of 30 years has Chief Investigator and Administrator Court Assistant.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.  Jack was a self-taught artist who had a passion for painting wildlife.

In addition to his wife of 48 years he is survived by one daughter, Hope McCall (Tony); one granddaughter Abigail McCall.  In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by one brother, Douglas Hensell and one sister Lona Hewitt.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.  Burial will follow in Lexington Memorial Cemetery.
