I love you, sissy. 1 year doesn't make the pain any easier, and I still miss you everyday. I continue to try to remember the best times I had with you. The memory that I choose to lose myself in is the wonderful times we spent at Disney Land so long ago. Traversing the Epcot World Showcase and watching the beautiful fireworks and lights event there and riding on all of those memorable rides. I especially remember you wanting to try the Tower of Terror ride that the rest of us were too scared to try. Those memories are irreplaceable and I hope where ever you are, you cherish those memories as much as I do. When the time comes that we can go on more magical adventures together, I want to experience all the afterlife has to offer with you.
With much love, your nephew, Bennett

Beth, Marion and Bennett, my condolences to you. Deb and I were friends for so long. I remember the Christmas that the Jennings household devoted several days to making miniature chocolate candies. As usual, I dropped by to see all the goodies. Deb approached me and told me to hold out my hand, I complied. Deb dropped one of the minature candies in my hand. I promptly put it in my mouth. Deb immediately grabbed me by the throat yelling, spit it out, spit it out !! You're going to look and admire our hard work before you eat the candy!! Needless to say, I spit it out and admired all the hard work before I put another one in my mouth. So many wonderful memories run through my mind of all the adventures I had with you, Sheryl and your family. Rest until we meet again. You are truly missed.
Betsy

Marion, Beth and Bennett, I know the pain you are feeling now seems unbearable. I know how important Deb was to all of you. Just know now she is an angel looking down over you all, just as I know Tommy is as well (I hope they have met in Heaven!) "There are moments when the suffering is so deep that one can hardly talk to a person. What a joy it is then to know the Lord understands. No pit is so deep that the Lord is not deeper still." (Psalm 91:4). Keep her alive in your hearts by all of your wonderful memories. Much love to you all. Annamaria

My sincere condolences to the Jennings family. I know this is a difficult time and I pray God continues to comfort and strengthen the family during this difficult time. May the many loving and cherished memories of Dr. Jennings continue to comfort her family and friends. A comforting promise is stated at Isaiah 25:8 "He (GOD) will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." May you all have calming and pleasant thoughts during this time.

Debbie was my second sister, though I hardly got to know her. She was my sister's best friend for over 40 years. My mom and dad loved Debbie, also. I am so glad to have known her, through Sheryll and in the short times we did spend together. I remember her at Sheryll's wedding (first) sewing Sheryll's clothes together. Silly and full of life. I, too, will miss her.

Deb,
I was driving home today, and I wanted to call you, as we always talk while I drive. Then I remembered, we cannot speak to one another. We have called each other everyday for the last twenty years. Who I am going to call and discuss life, have meltdowns, movies, family and the list goes on and on? I have known you for 46 years, and you always listened in the good and bad times. We shared life, problems, aches and pains. There is a hole in my life torn by fate, and I have no one to take your place. Deb, I know you are in the arms of your parents and one day we will meet again. Until then, I will always Pick up the phone to call you. With love, Sheryll

Known by many monikers, the first being the official birth certificate name of “Debra Carol” given by Mom and Dad, my sister responded to several different names during her lifetime. There were the silly childhood nicknames that kids inevitably came up with back when television had only three channels. Then, inspired by us kids looking through a catalog of Native American jewelry on day, she assumed the most regal nickname, “Bohemian Turquoise”, while I was dubbed the questionable title of “Squash Blossom”. Luckily we settled on other nicknames that carried through time… “Derby” for her and “Beef” for me. Interestingly, I have tracked a few ancestors connected to a place by the name of Derbyshire in England, so “Derby” was oddly appropriate for her.
As Derby journeyed through life she picked up several more names. First Debbie was shortened to “Deb”. Then, as she continued her education, Dr. Deb Jennings arose out of the pinnacle of her educational achievements. She gained yet another title, “Sissy”, when her beloved nephew, and my son, Bennett was born.
Whatever name she answered to, be it Debra Carol, Debbie, Bohemian Turquoise, Derby, Deb, Dr., or Sissy, she will always be my Sister, my better half, my rock of reason and my edgy clone.
Sissy, you know I love you dearly and appreciate the time I had with you. I so look forward to flying the skies when we meet again, and taking that trip to the moon.
Forever your Beef

I have known Dr.Jennings for the last 3 years. I met her after she reached out to my company to take care of her lawn care needs. She was a humble person with a kind soul. I always enjoyed a short chat with her every 2 weeks for the last 3 years. We would talk about what craft she was working on, how she was enjoying retirement, & how she enjoyed not having to do her lawn :) She was such a genuine person. A kindred spirit. I will miss seeing her smiling face & kind conversation. Deb was a breath of fresh air during my long work days. Thank you Deb for always being kind. I hope that you are crafting away surrounded by all those you love.

I love you, Sissy. I regret not being around you more often and loving you and being loved by you. I wish you could see me grow up and let me watch you grow old. I truly feel deep sorrow and despair after your passing but I know you would not want me to live my life wallowing in your shadow. You were my one true relative I could love and laugh with naturally. Your absence will change me irreparably but I - in my selfishness - hope to be able to continue my life with you at my back as encouragement. May you finally rest in peace, without pain or sadness. I know not what became of you nor do I dare guess what will become of me and my parents but I do solemnly hope beyond all logic and reason, that we can reunite someday, somewhere, where we can be free of what binds us to our pain and suffering and speak without qualms or earthly causes. You were the bedrock and now you will produce the jewel I will carry with me forevermore.
With much love, your nephew, Bennett
