Obituary of William Michael Caldwell

William Michael "Mickey" Caldwell, 41, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away November 5, 2019 peacefully at home.  He was born on May 12, 1978 in Montabaur, Germany to the late Don Sr. and Connie Caldwell.

Mickey loved his baby girl Hannah Grace.  He was a lover of the outdoors and fished on a daily basis.  Mickey was a USC Gamecocks fan.   He was a lover of dogs.  Mickey was extremely intelligent and could build anything from the ground up.  He never met a stranger and he always could light up a room.   Mickey was a story teller extraordinaire.   He loved his country and proudly served in the US Marines.   His generous heart touched everyone and he would give anyone the shirt off his back.

William is survived by his daughter, Hannah Grace Caldwell; Andrea Sommers; his brothers, Donnie Caldwell Jr. and Robert James Caldwell; his nieces and nephews, Taylor Caldwell, Tripp Caldwell, Madison Caldwell, and Zack Caldwell; and his grand-nephew, Caynen Drake Hamill. 

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Granny and Papa George. 

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2:00PM - 3:00PM.   Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM.   His brother Donnie Caldwell, Jr. will be officiating.    There will be a private Inurnment to follow at Ft. Jackson at a later date.
