Obituary of Janet Martin Fischer

Janet Martin Fischer, 63, of West Columbia passed away October 19, 2019 at her residence.

She is survived by her son Joshua Fischer (Cassie), grandchildren Landrie and Emmie, her daughter Jamie Fischer (Austin Shealy), brothers, Steve Martin (Roxanne), Kenny Martin (Loni), Tommy Martin (Cindy), sister Connie Vaughn (Steve), numerous beloved nephews & nieces, Dolly (her beloved  boxer) and Skitty (her ever loving cat).

She was preceded by death of her parents Walter E. Martin, Jr. and Emily Sessions Martin.

Janet will be remembered as a devoted mother to her children, and a wonderful grandmother.  She devoted her life to working hard and providing the best life for her family. She was known for her affectious and warm heart. She loved animals!  She volunteered many hours at her local pet shelter and even took a few home with her!

Celebration of Janet’s life will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home located 845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends at Grecian Gardenslocated at 2312 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, SC 29169 on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 following the memorial.
