Obituary of Chad Willis Huggins

Chad Willis Huggins, 28, of Gilbert, South Carolina is now with his Father in Heaven as of September 27, 2019.   He was born on October 12, 1990 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Chuck Huggins and the surviving Wanda Huggins.

Chad had great love for fishing at Lake Murray.   He liked the fast life.  Chad truly enjoyed life and had a great time living it.  He loved everyone he met and he never met a stranger.  Chad was often misunderstood because he was a unique and complex individual.   No matter how upset a person got at him, they still loved him.   Whether good or bad; there will definitely be a void.  Chad will be greatly missed by all who knew him.   His job here is complete and we will all be better for having known him.  Let us take time to reflect on the lessons that he has given to us all.   It is not what he did or who he was; but whose he was.  

Chad is survived by his son Chuck Huggins; his daughter, Nevaeh Huggins; his brother, Chase Huggins; his grandparents, Charles and Ruth Huggins; his grandmother, Margie Holton; and his step-father, Tracy Washington. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Madeline Brady.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 6:00PM - 7:00PM.   Funeral services will follow at 7:00PM with Pastor Tracy Washington officiating.
