Al was like an uncle to me. As long as I can remember he has always been there. There are so many memories of Al, I don't know where to begin. Ever since I was little he was always at my birthday parties I don't remember him ever missing one of mine or my sister's birthdays. He would take us to the circus and one time he took us to a hockey game, that was something very special to me and I will never forget it. Every year he would take us to the fair and to come to think of it was not an easy task of keeping up with 5 girls and a little boy. I will never forget our holiday traditions with Al. He used to take us girls shopping for Christmas and every year we would go to the lights at the zoo and friends of Al's dinner at Cracker Barrel. We will continue these traditions in his honor though it will be hard not having him with us. One of my favorite memories is of my brother, my sisters and I piling into his 2 door pick up truck to go eat at Waffle house before heading into the cold to go see the zoo lights. Al always gave of himself and never asked anything in return. He was such a fun, loving and faithful friend true until the end. I knew he would go one day but didnt think it would be so soon. Love you Al, you will always be in my heart. Thank you for all that you did for me and my family. You will never be forgotten.
With love,
Jessica H.

Al truly was a sincere, dedicated Christian who’s primary calling in life was to share, with as many as possible, the “Good News” of Christ’s sacrifice for, and salvation of, anyone who would believe in Him. Al was always sharing himself and his time with many worthwhile causes and charities. He valued friendship. He would liked to have stayed on this earth longer, but that was not God’s plan for him. We are glad that he has been made whole and is no longer suffering. We look forward to seeing Al again in heaven in his new body!
We also commend his brother, Tom, for the dedicated care he gave Al in his final months. It wasn’t always easy, but Tom stood by Al and helped him whenever he needed help. Tom, you were a good brother to Al! May God bless you with peace knowing you were there for Al in his time of need.
Lisa and her family were also tremendous support for Al and he frequently mentioned how blessed he was to have her/ them in his life. God bless you all for demonstrating the love of Christ to Al throughout his life.
With love,
Carol and Joel

I was lucky to have met AL... Amazing person. He was looking for a place to live at the time and I was managing a high rise apartment in downtown Columbia. We became friends... He used to worry about me skipping lunch and started bringing me bananas all the time. He introduced me to the Christian comedian Tim Hawkins at church. I laughed until I cried and I shared it with my whole family...he also invited me to his Christmas parties at Cracker Barrel...so special...he always told me how he had always wanted to be married and have children... I think he found his family in his friends.....

I met Al in the Gideons and then learned we were both Citadel Graduates, so we doubly bonded.
Al was very active in the prison ministry and I watched The Lord use Al to lead many inmates to Him.
I am thankful the Lord put Al in my life and my prayers are with all of his loved ones.
Al was a wonderful friend and a faithful servant of the Lord!
I am glad we will see Al again one day!
God bless you,
Bothwell Graham
