Charlie, Frank and their parents became my friends during the Air-o-Blind days. Charlie was always so positive and such a pleasure to talk with. Charlie seemed "bigger than life" to me and I was shocked to return from a trip last night and to find out that my friend Charlie is gone. I missed his services. My thoughts and my prayers are with his family.

Charlie had the uncanny ability to put fun in an ordinary day with his delightful sense of adventure. I went out with Charlie during high school and briefly at USC. To date Charlie, you had to be prepared for anything as you never knew what mode of transportation you'd travel in. Charlie took great pride in his vehicles, but called me their jinx. He got a speeding ticket on Devine St. when I was on the back of his Harley, his truck got a flat tire past my curfew, the top of his Jaguar got a scratch from the cardboard flower I wanted at the Junior Senior, and while at Washington Street's MYF, his beloved Dodge Charger filled up with smoke from the interior light bulbs he painted amber. Tall and handsome, Charlie was always the impeccable dresser, but most of all, he was kind, compassionate, & respectful. When he discovered Daddy loved chess, Charlie would come by early to play. Charlie loved his family, respected his elders, and was always a gentleman with the ladies. For many of us, remembering Charlie and his antics makes our hearts smile. Thanks Charlie for passing by our way.

There is a complete solar system of special qualities that were (and will always live in my heart) a part of Mr. Brown that made him so very treasured and unique. I told him that he was my best friend many times, because, as a new widow, I did not know how to deal with this complicated world and all the problems that were suddenly thrust in my path. He was very wise and had "a heart of Gold." He understood all that troubled me and gave me guidance. There is so much for which both I and my children are gratefull to him. Mr. Brown was a true "God-Send", and I, as well as many others, already feel the lack of his physical presence among us. We live now with the knowledge that we will meet again in Glory where the problems of this world do not exist.

Charlie Brown was one of the most unique and kind people I have ever known. Our friendship goes back to our days at AC Flora beginning in 1968. I will always remember Charlie as handsome, kind, hardworking, sincere and FUNNY! He could make a rock laugh! He loved dancing and was one of the best I have ever danced with. I will never hear a beach music song that doesn't make me think of him. The Tams were his favorite! He was proud of his family, had the strongest work ethic, and he was the hardest working person his age I have ever known. He loved his cars, Cogburn's Grill, and having a good time in a healthy way. He was also part of our family, and could smell my Mother's pot roast from 25 miles away - loving to come over and enjoy a home cooked meal with family and friends. I will forever miss him and wish I could let him know how very much he was loved by me and so many others. He was a most amazing person in so many ways, and I will always remember him and that great smile - my life was blessed to have him in it......only wish it could have been longer.

Charlie, I can't begin to tell you how much I and all of your friends miss you ! When you died, it's like you took a little piece of each of us and now we are all BROKEN! Things are not the same without you! We are missing your wonderful stories - you told great stories! You and I got along great together- we were both very much perfectionists, each in our own ways! You introduced me to people I never would have met, took me places I never would have been on my own! Oh, the adventures we had! Who would have thought that two people could have so much fun in just SC , NC, and Georgia. I love this picture of you, I have never seen it before now! It took me until Saturday to finally cry and I cried the ugliest cry I have ever had! I was in total shock and disbelief and still am. You will be missed more than you can ever imagine! Thanks for all the things you taught me! Thanks for being so careful when moving my furniture and things from place to place. Thanks for treating my things with the same care you would use in handling your own things. When the cardiologist said you had the heart of a 40 year old, I was so excited because I thought we could surely make it to our late 90's. Words cannot express how much I am going to miss you and miss hearing your voice everyday ! Thanks for the memories! I love you! Love, Suzy-Q
