Obituary of Robert Lee Williams

Robert (Bobby) Lee Williams, 83, of Columbia, SC passed away May 31, 2019. He was born December 9, 1935, in Graniteville, SC to the late Lora Stewart Williams and Robert Grant Williams. Bobby proudly served his country as a Marine. He was a retired diamontologist and master craftsman who was a mentor to all. He had a great love for God, his wife, family and friends.  He had a sense of humor and shared stories of life and adventure.  He loved music, dancing and traveling the world.  He had a kind and generous heart and never met a stranger. He was also a Master Mason and a member of the Scottish rite and Shriners.

He is survived by his sister, Saundra (Carroll) Richardson, his son, Robert Grant Williams, his daughter, Wanda Hase; his step-children, Steve Dimmery, Michael Dimmery, Dana Dimmery, Sharon (Tommy) Stone, Wanda (Randy) Branham, Donna (Jack) Keese, and Carla Dimmery, and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Wilma S. Dimmery, daughter, Jerri Lynn Leblanc, brother, William (Billy) Grant Williams and sisters, Mary Frances Williams Childers and Ella Mae Williams Gillian.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
