Chris was a customer whom I had the opportunity to work for twice over the years. Even though I only met him twice, I considered him to be one of my encouragers, fellow entrepreneurs, and brothers living for Christ. I was especially encouraged by him when I last winter worked for him at the new home and met almost his whole family during the occasion. He is the last person I would think something like this would or should happen to, but I have to believe good will come from it like Romans 8:28 promises. I only learned of this tragedy yesterday, and I am very sad about this loss that so many are now enduring. I will pray for all the families involved and especially Miss Wendy and her and Chris’ precious children. Take heart and be encouraged.

What a great man... son, brother, husband, father, leader, missionary, and friend to all he knew. He truly leaves a legacy to be shared with many for generations to come of his love and faithfulness to God.
Wendy, I pray for strength for you and your precious children, and a peace that can only come from God. May there always be family and friends around you to be His hands and feet extended to you.
I know we have had limited contact over the years since volunteering together in Pass Christian, MS that first year after Hurricane Katrina, but if you could only know how often you and Chris come up in conversations with me and the kids. Never once did I meet a person who did not love you and Chris. You served with such loving and caring hearts, and at the end of the day worshiped with great passion! You both are so deeply loved by our family! And, of course, my “baby Easton” (Sorry Easton if you happen to read this as I know you are a young man now, but your mom can explain) will always hold a very special place in my heart! I have great memories of hours in the office each day, watching your tummy move and telling you they had OB/GYNs in MS and you didn’t have to go all the way to SC to have a baby!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all! I hope to get a chance to see you soon.

We were so sorry to hear the news. The service today was exceptional and the ceremony was beautiful! I had the opportunity to have breakfast with Chris a few times and he left a wonderful impression on me. I feel he is what we, as husbands and fathers, strive to want to be like. I was honored to be able to spend time with Chris. We will pray for you and your family and please reach out if there's anything we can do for your family.

1Peter 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.“

I was a missionary in Cambodia with Wendy and was privileged and blessed to be one of their bridesmaids at their wedding. When I met Chris for the first time, I knew this was the man that would love and protect my sweet dear sister in Christ. Not only was I thrilled seeing the love Chris had for Wendy but so impressed with his compassion for the lost people in need of hearing the message of our Savior Jesus Christ on the mission field especially in Africa and Cambodia. He and Wendy gave generously to me in my ministry In Cambodia. ‘Chris, you are a wonderful servant of God.’ My deepest condolences to my fellow missionary sister, Wendy, lovely children and family. I lift you all up in prayer for our Father’s loving peace and comfort. I love you. Aloha, Adele

Chris,
Without a doubt, you have left your mark on this world. One can only hope you know how loved and respected you were, and are, while you were here. This place that we call earth is a little bit darker without your light. You will always be remembered by me as a sweet and kind man and how welcoming and warm you were to me when I first arrived here. Although gone far too soon, may all the glory be in you now walking with Jesus. May you eternally rest in peace.
To Wendy, your beautiful children and to all of Chris's family and friends,
I pray for healing and peace. I pray for our Lord to be with all of you during this extremely difficult time and continued into the future. My sincerest condolences and my continued thoughts and prayers are with you.
