I knew Dot from the Palmettos where she resided in the same memory care unit as my father, Jim Brodeur. She was in the dining room many times when I was visiting and always had a “hello” for me. I’m so sorry for your loss and I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Leiza Brock

My Southern Roots are priceless to me! My Aunt Dot is a sweet reminder to me to keep a giggle close by. Aunt Dot inspired me to be a good nurse not just a mediocre nurse showing up. I learned my garage sale shopping expertise from her and how to nail a good one from the drive by. She taught me how to stand up for myself and love life! My life and my family’s life will always be stronger, more directed towards joy and laughter because of the beautiful influences of my Southern Roots. I have a sign “ Keep Grinning” in my kitchen as a direct quote from my beloved Aunt Dot! Love you for always sweet lady!

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of special times spent at Aunt Dot and Uncle Buzz' home three houses down from ours.
The laughter, cousin love, food and fun were endless it seems. I especially loved it when she and Mama and Aunt Joby would get together and laugh till they cried and couldn't even get their words out.
Aunt Dot always had a keen eye for fashion and accessories both for herself and her beautiful home. I always enjoyed learning about her traveling adventures and antique hunting.
I am so blessed to have had her in my life.
Rest in loving peace Aunt Dot.
