Obituary of Speros Michael Hudson

Speros Michael Hudson, 64, of Pelion, South Carolina passed away May 24, 2019.    He was born on July 30, 1954 in Christiansburg, Virginia to the late Donald and Angie (Delvizis) Hudson.

Speros was a twenty one year veteran of the US Navy.  He worked as a Machinist Mate, where he was in charge of taking care of ship engines.  After his retirement from the Navy, he became a long-haul trucker.  During his spare time he took his boys hunting and fishing.   Speros loved spending time with his family and that was all he wanted.  He was a very happy man. 

Speros is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cynthia Yawn Hudson; his son, Donald Wayne Hudson (Lynn); his daughter, Audrey Lynn Hudson; his grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Hudson and Katelyn Grace Hudson; and his siblings, Anthony, Mark, and Larry; as well as many nieces and nephews; and his favorite aunt, Diane Johnston.

He was preceded in death by his son, Stuart Michael Hudson.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.    Funeral services will be at the New Hope Baptist Church of Pelion, 249 New Hope Church Road, Pelion, SC 29123 on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00PM with Pastor Young officiating.    Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
