Obituary of Kathleen Juanita Hinton Kemick

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Kathleen Juanita Hinton Kemick, 64, of Irmo, South Carolina, will be held on May 16, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia.  Pastor John Wertz will officiate.  She was born on September 21, 1954 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Jesse L Hinton, Sr. and Helen Kathleen Howard Hinton. 

Kathy was a kind and loving wife, mother, sister and friend.  She was a devoted employee for over twenty-eight years with DHEC of South Carolina.  Her co-workers were always greeted warmly with a kind word and smile.  An avid photographer, she was always prepared with her camera to capture a memory.  She will be greatly missed by those whom she loved and those who loved her.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Danielle Campbell and her husband, William Michael Kemick.  Kathy is also survived by her sisters, Sheila Ann Brewer (George), Cynthia Fay Rigby (Lynn) and Cindy Kay Cogdill (Richard).  Kathy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse L Hinton Jr (Betty Ann) and nephew, Scott Savage.
