Obituary of Thomas Archie Hudson

Thomas Archie Hudson, 95 of West Columbia, husband of the late Italean Gamble Hudson, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born on May 31, 1923 in Sumter SC. to the late Archie Talmage Hudson and Beulah Pritchard Hudson. He retired from Gulf Oil Company and was a lifetime member of Northside Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of the US Army.

Thomas  is survived by, three daughters, Sherry McKinney (Danny), Cindy Crowe (George) and Becky Dangerfield (Randy); one son, Dean Thomas Hudson (Monica); two sisters, Rosalie Hodge, Catherine Wells; one brother, George Gilbert Hudson: nine grandchildren, Jennifer Pittman, Danny McKinney (Alexis), George Crowe (Amber), Jason Crowe (Heather), Emilie Leidy (Jake), Hanna Hudson, Sara Hudson, Corey Dangerfield (Krista), Lindsey Speake (Jason) and eleven great-grandchildren, Savanna and Caroline Pittman, Colt and Livia McKinney, Bailey and Brice Crowe, Piper and Wilder Dangerfield, Annabelle Speake, and baby “Hudson” due in April, and baby “Speake” due in August. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by, two sisters, Iva Belle Hodge and Jeanette Goodwin.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday January 31, 2019 in the chapel Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park.
