Obituary of Adolph Franklin Bannister

West Columbia - Adolph Franklin Bannister, 81 passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019.  He was born on April 15, 1937 to the late Howard Lee and Frankie Limbaugh Bannister.

In addition to his parents, Adolph was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Lee, Jr. and Bobby Bannister.

Mr. Bannister was retired from the US Coastguard after 22 years of service as Chief Petty Officer.  He also was a member of The Shriners, Jamil Temple.

Survivors include Adolph Bannister, Jr, Brock Bannister and Alexander Bannister; and three grandchildren, Jonathan Bannister, Kyra Bannister and Alyssa Bannister; brothers, Dickie Bannister, Steve Bannister and a sister, Patsy Newman.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC.
