Obituary of Robert Thomas Bowers

Robert Thomas Bowers, 74, of West Columbia, husband of the late Vivina Kay Bowers, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018. He was born on February, 17, 1944 in Cassatt, SC to the late Landy Edward Bowers and Bessie Peach Bowers. He retired from Dana Corporation.

Surviving are three daughters, Christie Bowers, Tracy Bowers Compton (John “Buddy”) and Jennifer Bowers Olin; two sisters, Betty Kelly and Mary McGee; two brothers, Landy Bowers Jr. and Paul Bowers; five grandchildren, Matthew Bowers, Jessica Olin, Todd Olin, Robby Raines and Landy Raines; five great grandchildren, Ayden Bowers, Matthew L. Bowers, Riley Olin, Kaylen Wlliford and Braylen Williford. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Beanice Folsom, Ruby Folsom and Viola Stokes; one brother, Guy Bowers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 21, 2018 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
