Gisela “Joyce” W. Carlo

Columbia- Gisela W. Carlo (Joyce) passed away on December 10, 2018 at Palmetto Richland Hospital. She was born in Puerto Rico on October 29, 1939 and was a Columbia resident since 1986.

She is survived by her husband, retired Army CSM Julio Carlo; her children Walter, Yvonne and Cindy; 5 grandchildren, Faris, Talal, Marie Angelie, Caitlin and Francisco; and 4 great grandchildren, David, Soren, Katalina and Skylar; 2 sisters, Gloria and Carmen.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home chapel.
