Obituary of Sherry G. Elders

Sherry G. Elders, 57, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at her home. She was born to the late Robert and Wilma Traylor in Douglasville, Georgia on March 11, 1961.

Sherry was an amazing florist and was retired from Shealy Vending.

Mrs. Elders is survived by David Elders, Sr. and their son, David Elders, Jr. of Columbia, SC. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry Traylor (Erica) of Columbia and Randy Traylor (Vickie) of Eastover; three sisters, Robbie Knighten (Tony) of Jacksonville, FL, Donna Parker (Darren) of Tennessee and Monique Hammond of Columbia and her daughter, Brandy; a sister-in-law, Linda McKay; three grandchildren, David III, Taylor and Alexis (Little Sherry) of Las Vegas, NV; a stepfather, Donald Cook; a step-son, David Lloyd Elders; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
