Obituary of Elizabeth W. Josey

Elizabeth W. Josey 84, of Lexington passed away September 15, 2018.  She was born on May 4, 1934 in Pomaria, SC to the late Leo and Leila Eichelberger Coleman.  She was predeceased by sisters, Amanda and Ruby Williams; and brothers, J.D. and Ulysses Williams.

Elizabeth married Preston Josey, Sr. who preceded her in death. She had six children, Preston, Jr. and Dorothy, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Lelo (Jarusha) and daughters, Debra Cisco, Sepony Canzater and Beverly Josey; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and special friend of the family, April McMillan.

She was a dedicated and hard worker and was retired from the Capital City Club as Supervisor.  She was a strong and beautiful soul.  She welcomed and helped all those in need around her.  She always had kind and encouraging words.  Her smile was contagious and she had a great sense of humor.  Elizabeth loved the Lord and believed in prayer and devotion.  She was one in a million and she will be painfully missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC  29204.
