Remembrances of Leonard are many. He, Rick and I were the first cargo team that Delta in Columbia had. Leonard went to passenger service, Rick to ground ops and I stayed in cargo. Very good working with Len for many years. Always true to his Savior. Miss ya.

I worked with Leonard at Delta Air Lines and through mutual friends, I just found out about his death. Memories of Leonard are nothing but good, he was a nice friend and co-worker and he loved officiating at Football games. Many kind thoughts of Leonard...he will be missed by many.

I try not to get to emotional when it comes to funerals....I have much regret that I did not stay in touch with the family the way I should have. It seems like there are several funerals every month now that I am getting older. But Leonard Harrington was the best friend of my dad. He was like a second dad to me. As far back as I have memories, I can remember Leonard, Bonnie, Larry, Millie, Linny & Christie Harrington. Leonard took me to my first Carolina baseball game when he used to umpire their games. I still cherish a game ball that he got Bobby Richardson to sign for me. Leonard and my dad took me to my first Carolina football game.....I remember it so vividly Carolina 41 App State 7.....Leonard used to take me to high school games all around the state when he would officiate....my favorite though was when we just went to watch Larry when he was a QB at Mauldin. Him and my dad both retired from Delta Air Lines together....and Leonard was at my dads 70th Birthday....he was at my dads funeral....He was probably the most in shape 69 year old that I have ever met. I can remember him always challenging everyone to be better......and now he is gone. I remember the last time I saw Leonard, he was coming out of the USC practice facility with a smile on his face....and as usual, he always without fail, asked about the health of my mother, and how my sisters were doing. How beloved was this man? Coach Holtz was at his wake.....Coach Spurrier and the entire football staff was at his funeral....along with Coach Staley and many ex- players and coaches.....but to me, I will always see him as my friend.....especially my dad's friend. RIP Leonard......you will always be loved and missed

Bonnie and family I am so sorry for your loss and pray God will fill your hearts with wonderful memories of times spent with Leonard through the years. I remember taking care of your sweet little puddles on weekends so you could travel to football games with Leonard. You and your family are in my prayers.

Len was our travel coordinator when I was assistant swim coach at USC. He was such a joy to work with that I never, ever minded picking up the phone to call him when we needed travel help. A few years later, after I was done with coaching and he retired from his travel duties with athletics, he would always stop by my desk in the Rice Athletics Center and chat about his family, his love for his grandchildren, football, and life in general. I will miss that "heeey laaady" whenever he would see me. What a HUGE loss for all of us in the Athletics Department. He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

I first met Leonard when I started driving the officials to the USC football games. We had lots of conversations about football but other things as well. While we never discussed family much on those saturdays, you could tell he loved his and would do anything for them. Will miss him this coming season and those to come.

Leonard and I started officiating football games together many years ago. Later when I was coaching high school football, I was fortunate enough to have him for several playoff games. He never missed a call. A good man.

I worked for the Athletic Department for 30 years and knew Leonard very well. I was shocked as I just received this news through the USC Retirement Club by email. I am sorry I could not make visitation. Leonard was a wonderful, Christian man and it showed in all his endeavors.
My heart goes out to the family. May God hold you all close at this time of sorrow in the loss of a loved one.

It sure was always a pleasure traveling with Leonard and Bonnie and their group to many places that I never would have gotten to go to if it weren't for him. Kind and protective, he was like a brother to me. It just won't be the same without dear Leonard. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. Love, Becky Dudley (Rock Hill, SC)

Bonnie, Christy and family,
My heart is heavy this morning as I read of the passing of my friend, Leonard. I will never forget the wonderful times we shared working with Rachel and Johnny Beck
delivering flowers. He was a true gentleman and an outstanding Christian, and he was so much fun to be around. I never saw him without a smile on his face. I will remember him fondly and miss seeing him on the sidelines of the Carolina football games. His presence will always be with you. Heaven holds more treasure now for us to make it there.
Our love and prayers as we remember our friend,
Kitty and Roger Spires

Words cannot express how shocked I am that mr Leonard has passed. I hate that I won't be able to make the service and that I won't be there to see the family but please know that my heart goes out to you all. I can't express enough how great Mr Leonard was to me. He helped me to get where I am today. I know that he is home now and he is watching over us all. It won't be the same without him at church when I do come to visit. I will keep his family in my prayers.
