Obituary of Eilene Pisano

A funeral service celebrating the life of Georgia Eilene Stone Pisano, 86, of Columbia will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 6200 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29206 with interment to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd, Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621 or The ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 250, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301 in Eilene?s memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Pisano departed this earthly life on Friday, May 25, 2012. She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Archie A. Stone of Roebuck, SC and Delilah Rachel Wortman Crocker of Gilroy, California. Mrs. Pisano was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she also enjoyed attending her bible study group. She retired from Century Lanes at Fort Jackson Army Base in 1990 after many years of dedicated service. ?Eilene, Granny and Grandmama?, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends enjoyed family pictures, shopping, reading, watching television, puzzles, nurturing flowers, and cross-stitching in her leisure time. She had a special bond and memories of her late dog, Peanuts, which died many years ago. Callie and Neumann will miss their treats given to them by Eilene each day. Eilene had a great love for her family and she will certainly be missed by all those that knew and loved her. Eilene was predeceased by her husband, Joe Pisano; a daughter, Jo Pisano Sellers; her parents; a sister, Emily Margavio; and two brothers, William A. ?Bill? Stone and James M. Stone. Surviving are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Mary Pisano Payne and Carl Payne; her sisters, Rachel Turturice and June (Ronald) Gorman; her sister-in-laws, Theresa LaRosa and Carolyn Stone; her grandchildren, Tammie (Charles) Boyte, Debbie Blanchard (Jason) Cook, John Blanchard, Todd (Kaye) Miles, and Brad Miles; her great-grandchildren, Kristina, Kristopher & Katelyn Blanchard, Justin and Ashley Boyte, Phillip Miles, Lauren (Jason)Ray, and Jaron (Amber) Ellisor; great-great grandchildren, Brianna, Gracie, & Savannah Ray, Sandra Miles, Bridgett Campbell, and Arianna, Gage, & Georgia Ellisor.
