Obituary of Natalie Vanessa Shutters

Natalie Vanessa Shutters, 36, of Hopkins, South Carolina passed away September 1, 2015. She was born on October 29, 1978 in Madrid, Spain to John and Juliana (Feo-Gonzalez) Parker. Natalie was a very outgoing, feisty and strong willed woman. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was generous almost to a fault. Natalie had a kind and gentle heart, but you always knew where you stood with her. She loved to travel and was the consummate planner. Natalie enjoyed the weekend trips and adventures, she liked seeing new places. Natalie was working on her next trip, a trip to Pigeon Forge. Natalie had quite the sweet tooth and enjoyed visiting bakeries wherever she traveled. When she was your friend, you were her friend for life. She was truly a treasure. Natalie was a fighter through and through. During her illness, she never complained, instead, after a grueling treatment, she would use her bright personality to uplift and add support to those around her. Natalie most loved her family. She shared 11 years of blissful marriage with her devoted husband. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister. She loved spending time with her daughter, even if it was just watching TV shows on the computer. Natalie loved being with her family and making the funny faces that would make them laugh. She made every holiday an event. Her bright and wonderful sense of humor was evident in the things she did every day. She will truly be missed by those that loved her. Natalie is survived by her husband; Donald Lee Shutters Jr. of Hopkins, SC, her daughter; Tinsley Marie Shutters of Hopkins, SC, her parents; , John D Parker Jr. and Juliana F. Parker of Columbia, SC, sister; Juliette Whittle (Jason) of Columbia, SC, and a brother; John V. Parker (Maria) of Elgin SC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. A memorial service will follow the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family to help with the education of Tinsley Marie Shutters.
