Obituary of George Winders

George Winders died September 5, 2015 at Warrior's Walk. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2:30 at North Trenholm Baptist Church, 6515 N Trenholm Rd, Columbia, SC 29206. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. George was a son of the late Edwards James Winders and Eddie Knowles Winders. He was a proud military veteran during World War II in North Africa and Anzio. George is survived by James Edwards Winders, Sandra Barden, three grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Knowles. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Fox Winders; seven brothers, four sisters and one grandchild. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd, Suite 300. Jacksonville, FL 32256 or the charity of one's choice.
